Say hello to the Topshop blouse that everyone is obsessed with on Instagram

If you’re anything like us, you probably spend a lot of time shopping for functional – yet overwhelmingly chic – workwear. And, honestly, we’re not asking for much: we just want a few office staples that are low effort, high style, and, y’know, not so expensive that we can’t afford rent that month.

Thank goodness, then, for Topshop.

The high street hero has always been our go-to destination for denim jeans, slogan tees and funky occasion wear – but social media is absolutely obsessed with the shop’s new blouse design.

Promising to “set the tone for the new season”, the soft and fluttery blouse features an on-trend ruffle design, centre-front tie and wide floaty sleeves.

Yet, despite ticking all of those SS17 boxes, it’s also undeniably classic: monochrome and polka dots will never go out of fashion, in our opinion.

No wonder so many people on Instagram have lost their hearts to it…

As you can see, there are lots of different ways to style it.

Whether that’s half-tucking it into a sharp pencil skirt, teaming it with a pair of cropped trousers, throwing it on underneath your usual suit, dressing it down with some classic blue jeans, or donning it with a pair of effortless palazzo pants, it’s guaranteed to slip into your work wardrobe with ease.

Which means that, despite the fact that e-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y is clamouring to get one, this classic blouse will feel all your own.

Polka Polka 🖤🎶🖤

This ruffled blouse also solves another workplace dilemma: it’s an office-appropriate outfit that works just as easily for a night out. Or brunch with friends. Or, y’know, walking down the Venice Beach Boardwalk in Los Angeles.

Hey, we can dream.

The top is still available online and costs an incredibly purse-friendly £34 – but we recommend that you hurry. With this much interest on Instagram, it surely won’t be long until it’s sold out…
