This Topshop dress is going to be absolutely everywhere this summer

Instagram is fast becoming our favourite place to browse upcoming fashion and beauty trends – and the social media site has given us more than a few shopping tips over the past few weeks alone (think those Primark make-up brushes, that Mango t-shirt, and, of course, The Coat).

Now that summer is well and truly on the horizon, Instagram users have turned their attention to sunshine-worthy frocks, sandals, and tees.

And one dress in particular keeps popping up in our newsfeeds.

Say hello to Topshop’s Daisy Print Ruffle Tea Dress.

The flattering summer dress has been designed in the classic wrap-around style, with a simple v-neck, ruffled skirt, and short bell sleeves.

The folks at Topshop have told stylist.co.uk that this was the best-selling dress on the store’s website last week, with more than 200 flying off its virtual shelves in the first few days of it going online.

And, judging by everyone’s reactions on Instagram, people can’t get enough of this classic daisy-print frock.

Birthday fun with the best 🎈

Cathy O’Donohue, who’s garnered quite a social media following thanks to her work as the fashion editor of Her.ie, helped to kick off the Insta-frenzy when she shared a snapshot of herself wearing the must-have frock at a birthday party.

And she wasn’t the only fashionista to fall for the dress’ undeniable charms.

Blogger StyleMyMagpie, sharing a photo of the dress on her Instagram feed, wrote: “Pretty sure this is going to be THE DRESS of the summer, [and] styling it will be fun as I have a few different looks in mind.”

Fellow style guru Chloe-Louise (a blogger and advisor at Topshop) also shared a snapshot of herself posing in the dress.

Interestingly, both had entirely different takes on styling up the frock: one opted to layer it with a slogan t-shirt, while the other paired it with an eternally chic denim jacket.

And they weren’t the only ones to add their own unique twists to the popular item.

Some toughened theirs up with biker jackets, studded belts, layered t-shirts, and frayed jeans:

Others kept things incredibly simple, letting the dress do all the talking for them:

And even Topshop itself added an extra-special twist to their hit new staple, dressing it up with a sleeveless leather jacket and a pair of ankle boots.

Writing on its website, Topshop explain: “Season after season, the tea dress remains a firm favourite.

“This daisy print style comes with pretty ruffle sleeves and is perfect paired with low heel shoes for a casual summer feel.”

All in all, there are so many ways to make this £46 dress all your own – so we guess you don’t need to worry too much about the fact e-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y is clamouring to get one.

The wraparound frock is still available online in sizes six to 18, and it’s been racking up some seriously positive reviews on the official Topshop website, too.

So, if you want one, we recommend you act fast, before they’re all gone…
