Victoria Beckham elicited cooing in the audience at the British Fashion Awards last night as she gave an emotional thank you speech.

Picking up the award for Brand of the year, for her Victoria Beckham brand, the designer and mum-of-four gushed about her 'inspiring' husband of 15 years saying "David, you inspire me every day. You support me. You make this possible. I adore you and my children"

The designer had planted an adoring kiss on her husband when she's been announced as the winner of the award.

The tearful star also made reference to her pop roots, saying "We've come a long way since the Spice Girl dressing room days" and continued "And my parents, you love me unconditionally - and I know I am a pain in the bottom."

The star, 40, also spoke about her love of her home country, to which she returned to live full time last year 'I am so, so proud to be British and I am incredibly proud that I have built my brand here in the UK'.

It's been a great year for the pop star turned designer, and back in October she was named the UK's top entrepeuner as it was revealed her fashion brand's turnover had grown  2,900% - from £1million to £30million in five years - as well as increasing her staff from just three to over 100.
