Victoria Beckham tells Stylist about her latest spike-heeled step towards total fashion world domination
Victoria Beckham is the ultimate poster girl for celebrity designer done good. So good, in fact, that her carefully crafted brand of pared-back elegance has silenced naysayers, caused stampedes and seen stony-faced fashion editors’ hearts beat faster.
Having beaten Stella McCartney and Tom Ford to Designer Brand of the Year at the 2011 British Fashion Awards and won Womenswear Designer of the Year at the 2012 WGSNs, Victoria now stocks her designs in 54 countries. Her first e-commerce site, victoriabeckham.com, which launched on March 26, is yet another milestone – the first time she has sold her own designs from her own site.

Fashion-wise all the bags are very relevant now, yet they are also iconic shapes that have a timeless, trans-seasonal quality.”
“Essentially I design what I want to wear and what I feel is right for the moment. Women want to feel good in clothes, but also a little sexy and feminine. The raw wash VB1 is my perfect jean; I live in them at the moment! They‘re so versatile I can dress them up for dinner or down for the school run.”
