Wrap up against poverty

From Monday 31st January 2011, celebrities are donating their coats to the Wrap Up Against Poverty Winter Coat auction all in the name of charity. You can boost your style credentials and help people in financial need buy essential winter clothing by bidding for one of numerous celebrity coats going under the hammer.

There are 13.5 million people living below the poverty line in the UK and Elizabeth Finn Care helps people in financial need. They support people who were once self-sufficient, but through no fault of their own, find themselves in need of help.

The coats on auction include Sienna Miller's signed Anya Hindmarch for Barbour jacket, Christine Bleakley’s ultra-chic olive green coat with on-trend military detailing from Monsoon Fusion, Tamara Ecclestone’s sophisticated black military style coat with gold buttons and frill from Daslu Sao Paulo, and Fearne Cotton has donated a faux fur hooded grey leopard print coat from her Very range. Other celebs include Emma Freud, Richard Curtis, Cherie Blair, Lynda Bellingham and Esther Freud to name a few.

Grand fashion Dame Vivienne Westwood has again bucked the trend and has donated a fabulous pair of Vivienne Westwood Melissa Lady Dragon Cherry-Green shoes. And, fashion house Burberry are offering a VIP shopping trip and the choice of one of their iconic trench coats up to the value of £800. The auctions are running on eBay until the end of February 2011.

To get you in the generous mood we’ve put together a gallery of the coats and shoes up for sale - all beautifully modelled by Britain’s Next Top Model finalist Joy McLaren.
