Our suggested resolutions for the faces of 2011

2011 has been packed full of plenty high-profile and celebrity blunders. From the Murdoch’s hacking scandal to Lindsey Lohan’s inability to stay out of trouble, we’re sure there are plenty of regrets amongst the world's rich and famous.

We’ve taken the liberty of suggesting new year’s resolutions for those who spent more time trending on twitter than keeping their nose clean in the last 365 days! Here's hoping they take our advice...

On Boxing Day this year Sinead O'Connor announced that her marriage fourth husband was over, after only a few weeks of marriage. In a rather heart-breaking annoucement O'Connor explained why she decided to end the marriage, and she apologised saying, " I'm sorry I'm not a more regular woman."

Sinead, one day, maybe your fifth husband, will embrace that you're not a more regular woman. And hopefully in 2012 you will, too.

Oh, poor Hugh. After his Playboy Bunny girlfriend Holly Madison decided against marrying him, he was then promptly deserted by yet another Bunny, this time Crystal Harris, who bailed on marrying the poor chap just four days before they were meant to wed. In classic Hugh style, it's said he scheduled a screening of "Runaway Bride" in place of his nuptials. Hugh, maybe it's time to date a lass your own age? Maybe someone at least 60?

One of the most celebrated and loved singers of the past year, Adele has had a world of trouble with her poor vocal cords, resulting the cancelling of the rest of her tour, and even surgery on her precious vocal cords. Her poor voice is out of commission at the moment, but we know if she could sing/talk her new year's resolution would no doubt be to take better care of her voice!

Despite unfollowing him and filing for divorce from Ashton Kutcher after the rather embarrassing allegations that he'd cheated on her (a lot), Demi Moore's Twitter name is still @MrsKutcher. This annoys a lot of people, and despite it probably only taking about three seconds to change it to @DemiMoore, Demi has Tweeted and said, "Changing my twitter name isn't a top priority right now. sorry it bothers so many of u. should I not tweet until I do?does it really matter?"

After a photo of then-US congressman Anthony Weiner posing in his boxer shorts was leaked to the press, Weiner repeatedly denied that it was in fact him in the photographs. Finally, Weiner admitted that he had been exchanging naughty photos with another woman (despite being married) and swiftly resigned from congress. When will politicians learn to never, ever do this!? We hope Weiner manages to resist taking saucy self-portraits again in 2012.

This year has been both amazing and a bit rough for Rihanna. Despite her music doing incredibly well and having an excellent run at the O2, her music videos have caused her a bit of legal trouble. Despite already having to pay-out photographer David LaChapelle $1 million in October, only two months later observers are noticing similarities in her new "You Da One" video to photographer Solve Sundsbo's work. Oh dear...

Lady Gaga has millions and trillions of "Little Monsters" and fans, which made her the perfect target for a bit of internet hacking. In December of this year, thousands of her fans clicked on links that were published on both her Twitter and Facebook feeds promising free iPad2s and "announcing" a special edition Lady Gaga iPad. Needless to say, it was phishing scam that fooled her fans into submitting their personal details. Fail. Hopefully in 2012 Lady Gaga will keep her passwords on lock down!

Hugh Grant: "Start my own celebrity detective agency."

Hugh Grant has had quite the year, and interestingly, it hasn't had anything to do with his film career. After secretly recording meeting with News of the World journalist Paul McMullan and publishing an excerpt of the exchange in the New Statesman, Grant became somewhat of a hero in the whole phone hacking scandal. We can definitely see Hugh starting up his own celebrity detective agency in 2012, although he would find it difficult to go undercover.

This year's Super Bowl was big for Christina Aguilera for all of the wrong reasons. Despite her magnificent voice, Aguilera's performance was memorable because she forgot the lyrics to the Star Spangled Banner, America's national anthem. Instead of singing the correct lyrics, Aguilera sang, "What so proudly we watched at the twilight's last reaming." (What does that even mean?) In 2012, we're sure Aguilera will study her lyrics before going on stage.

Rebekah Brooks: "Eat. Pray. Love."

Like the Murdochs, 2011's phone hacking scandal was rather rough on Rebekah Brooks. We feel that in 2012 Brooks should do some deep soul searching, Elizabeth Gilbert style. It was reported that after her resignation from News International that she was told by Rupert Murdoch "to travel the world on him for a year", so this seems like the perfect opportunity for her to find herself in Bali, and then pour her heart out in a tell-all memoir.
