The most talked-about night in showbusiness requires a stunning outfit - and of course a hot date. We're taking a look at some of the most memorable couples to give their relationships a public outing at Academy Awards ceremonies over the years.
Reminisce over Oscar appearances by vintage couples like Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall, to modern pairings like Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis. Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman are one of many A-list Oscar couples whose relationship didn't last, while some of the awards' most stunning dates, like Madonna and Michael Jackson, came together just for the cameras.

Kidman later won a Best Actress statue for The Hours in 2002, a year after her divorce from Cruise was finalised.
