We were recently joined for a lunchtime masterclass with BBC Radio 1 presenter Gemma Cairney.
Formerly a stylist, Gemma now presents the weekend breakfast show on BBC Radio 1 every Saturday and Sunday from 7-10am.
A DJ with an exciting hosting style and infectious personality, Gemma has been nominated in the Best Music Radio Personality category in the Sony Awards 2012 for her work on the afternoon show on BBC Radio 1Xtra.
The 27-year-old has spent the past few months filming a documentary on last year's riots, called Riots: The Aftershock, which was aired on BBC Three at the beginning of this week.
Do you fancy a career in radio - or perhaps you're keen to break into the music industry? Whatever your question, join us here on Friday 13 July at 1pm and ask Gemma your questions in the comments section, below...
This web chat has now finished but you can see all the questions posed to Gemma and her replies in the comments section below.
