A Michelin-starred meal on a budget: London's best luxury meal-deals

London is packed to the gunnels with delicious restaurants. 

51 out of the 100 best restaurants in the UK are in London, according to the 2015 National Restaurant Awards.

That's all very well and good but it seems like nine times out of ten, the best restaurants are the pricey ones and that can leave a lot of us feeling rather left out. So, with that in mind, we've scoured the internet for London's best posh meal deals so you can enjoy high-end grub for a fraction of the usual price.

Get ready to eat like a Queen...

1. Two courses at Kaspar's, The Savoy - £24

Dine at the Kaspar's Seafood Bar and Grill located inside The Savoy for £24. This deal gets you two course (starter or dessert – your call) from the set menu and a generous glass of wine. For £8 more you can add another course of your choice.

2. Lobster and Bubbly at Kettner's, Soho - £24

Kettner’s is a London institution, and was frequented by the likes of Oscar Wilde, Agatha Christie and Bing Crosby. This offer provides a whole lobster with chips and a glass of Laurent Perrier for £24 which is 47% off the normal price. If there’s two of you, there’s a chance to save even more with the same offer for £45 for two.

3. Two Michelin-starred courses at the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane - £27

One of the most breath taking dinner views on offer in the city, Galvin at Windows is a Michelin-starred, triple-AA-Rosette-winning restaurant that serves creative French cuisine, on the 28th floor of the Park Lane Hilton Hotel. This meal offers two lunch courses and a cocktail for £27 or £37 for dinner. Options include roasted cutlet of pork and poached fillet of halibut.

4. Four courses and a cocktail at Gordon Ramsay's Maze - £33

Gordon Ramsay’s Maze in Mayfair is a Michelin-starred restaurant that combines French and Asian cuisine. The deal includes any combination of four courses from the set menu, along with a drink for £33 – but it will be a tough choice – as Grace Dent said in The Evening Standard: “Everything was damn good”. You'll be stuffed.

5. Tasting tower for two and a drink the Kingsway Hall Harlequin Restaurant, Covent Garden - £19

6. The Cinnamon Club Laurent-Perrier menu for £45

The Cinnamon Club is an Indian restaurant located in the heart of Westminster in the former Westminster Library. The Laurent Perrier menu can be enjoyed for £45 per person including, of course, a glass of Laurent-Perrier. Options include Tandoori Halibut with Tomato Tamarind Sauce and ginger jiggery pickle and Char-grilled Norfolk free range chicken breast with mace and cardamom.

7. Three courses, a cocktail and coffee at The Langham Hotel - £37

Roux at the Landau is the restaurant at London’s luxury Langham Hotel. The Roux family is legendary in the culinary world. The restaurant sees head chef, Chris King (previously at Le Gavroche) create classic French dishes, alongside lighter bits. The offer applies to the set menu.

8. Three course meal at Marco Pierre White's Steakhouse & Grill, King's Road - £23.50

A traditional steakhouse in Chelsea, marco Pierre White’s King’s Road Steakhouse & Grill serves…steak as well as a variety of other meat and fish dishes. It’s a local hot-spot and a great place for an atmospheric lunch. The offer applies to the set menu and includes a £6 supplement for steak.

9. Oxo Tower set menu - £29.50

The rooftop OXO Tower Brasserie has been hugely popular since its 1996 opening, thanks to its British cuisine and panoramic views of the London skyline. But the menu, delicious as it is, has always been out of the reach of those of us with tighter purse strings. Not anymore, the set menu offers three courses for £29.50 and includes delights such as roasted cod with saffron potato purée and soutzouki sausage with sesame hazelnut labne.

10. Fine Dining & Prosecco for two at Chamberlain’s, Leadenhall Market - £29

Located inside Leadenhall Market, Chamberlain's is known to foodies for its fresh seafood. The five-star restaurant has a beautiful interior and a European-style terrace, so this deal is perfect for a summer al-fresco dinner. The deal offers a two course meal with Prosecco for 52% off the normal price. Options include grilled sea bream or braised pig cheeks.
