This autumn, Rooney Mara returns to the big screen in critically acclaimed drama Ain't Them Bodies Saints, co-starring Casey Affleck.

The film, a directional debut from film editor David Lowery, tells the story of an outlaw (Affleck) who escapes from jail and sets out across the Texan hills on a mission to reunite with his lover (Mara) and child, in the face of terrifying odds.

It generated a huge amount of praise at this year's Sundance Film Festival for its lyrical portrayal of enduring love and a Western aesthetic played out by creative use of cinematography.

Ain't Them Bodies Saints is released in UK cinemas on 6 September 2013
