Be Stylist's culture critic

Be-Stylist's-culturecritic2.jpg

Fancy yourself as a bit of a culture critic? Then we want your book reviews! If you regularly find yourself extolling the virtues and downfalls of the last book/album/DVD you read/listened to/watched to anyone who'll listen, we're giving you the opportunity to share your opinions on a very public platform - namely our Quiet Night In page in the magazine.

Following our overview of the nine Orange Prize For Fiction shortlisted novels in this week's Stylist, we want you to send us your book reviews. As the prize focuses on literature written by women, we're asking you to submit a critique of your all-time favourite tome by a female author. The Stylist panel will select their favourite 10, which we'll then announce and put to a vote. One reviewer will be victorious, and will win the chance to write our own reviews page for one issue.

To enter, simply submit your review - in no more than 100 words - in the comments section of this post below by Sunday 17 April, stating the name and author of the book you're reviewing in the subject box and ensuring you enter your email address. We'll select ten finalist from all the entrants - if your review is chosen we'll be in touch. Then, if you're the lucky overall winner, we'll post the items for review to you, along with a deadline for getting your reviews back to us (don't fret, we'll give you a decent amount of time - we're not that mean).

In need of some tips? Read our expert advice for writing a book review here. Good luck!

Terms and conditions: Entries must be received by 23:59 on Sunday 17 April 2011. Ten finalists will be selected by the Stylist panel, and will be notified by email. By entering you give permission for your review to be reproduced on stylist.co.uk, in Stylist magazine and any promotional material for Shortlist Media Ltd. The subject box does not count towards the 100 word limit. Entrants can submit an unlimited number of entries. Stylist's decision is final. Usual Stylist terms and conditions apply.
