Always suspected there was a secret agenda to the Apprentice? Hear psychotherapists, psychoanalysts, writers and producers put TV on the therapist’s couch at this fascinating event. Discussions range from ‘The ethical dilemmas of putting real lives on TV’ to ‘How does TV culture infiltrate the therapeutic space?’

Unleash your inner David Bailey on this two-hour digital photography course. Start at the museum, handling London's historic objects, from medieval bones to a wooden washing machine. Then learn how to shoot them in the museum’s new e-Learning Studio, covering camera basics and composition. Finally hit the street and use your new knowledge in London’s vibrant neighbourhoods.

The British Museum’s big winter exhibition explores Egyptians’ fascinating journey from death to the afterlife. To bring this extraordinary period to life, book early for a slot on their Secrets of the Hieroglyphs course. This basic introduction will go through the main principles involved in reading the signs of the hieroglyphic script and 15 minutes in the Egyptian Galleries.

5. Life drawing workshop @ Tate Modern

Life drawing has just been given a very contemporary twist, setting nude models among the art at the Tate Modern. Led by artists Anne Noble-Partridge and David Price once the crowds have vanished you’ll join thirty-nine other visitors to sketch in the sculpture rooms. All levels are welcome and materials and refreshments are provided.

For one night only the white washed Design Museum will become a canvas for a night of drawing and interactive VJ-ing (multi-media art projected onto the museum to you and me). Dress in white and become part of the exhibit, or slip on a tailored paper dress and let your friends colour you in.
