Here’s how Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s 20th anniversary is being celebrated

Everyone’s favourite TV show about a super-strong teenage girl chosen by fate to battle evil forces celebrates its 20th anniversary on 10 March. And if you’re wondering how you can advertise your love for Buffy, Giles, Spike et al to the world, we have three little words for you: Buffy. Themed. Merch.

To celebrate Buffy the Vampire Slayer turning 20, superfans will – per the Los Angeles Times – soon be able to stock up on more Buffy-inspired products than any normal person could ever reasonably want to possess.

Though the series ended in 2003, newly available to purchase, courtesy of Fox Consumer Products, will be everything from an all-new Buffy board game (in which users move their way around the city of Sunnydale, battling demons en route) to Buffy-themed bedding, crockery, stationery sets and books.

US teen clothing retailer Hot Topic are also bringing out a Buffy-inspired fashion line – so if you’ve spent the last 20 years wishing and hoping for a red leather trench coat just like the one worn by Sarah Michelle Gellar, or a Willow-esque sweater, you’re in luck (you’ll just have to order it online).

Gang's all here: Giles (Anthony Stewart Head), Cordelia (Charisma Carpenter), Xander (Nicholas Brendon), Willow (Alyson Hannigan) and Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar).

“Decades after its television debut, Buffy the Vampire Slayer continues to stake its ground in pop culture," Jim Fielding, president of consumer products and innovation at 20th Century Fox Consumer Products, said in a statement.

“As one of the studio's most memorable programs, we are thrilled to celebrate the show's 20th anniversary alongside the devoted Buffy fan community.”
