Best job ever? A cat cafe is on the hunt for nannies

Cat Cafe Manchester

Love cats? In the market for a new job? Then listen up. The Cat Cafe in Manchester is recruiting for a cat nanny to join their team. AKA. the best job ever.

Sisters Ellie and Sarah Close run the cafe in Manchester's Northern Quarter and are searching for a team of cat-loving staff.

Among the standard cafe jobs – front of house, barista and manager – is the covetable role of cat nanny.

The job would require one lucky feline fan to take care of the ‘general well-being of the Manchester Cat family’ and to encourage customers to interact with the cats.

Looking for the purrfect job? At last we are recruiting! If you would like to join our team at Cat Café Manchester then...

As well as the dream duties of playing with, grooming and cuddling the cats, there are some slightly less glamorous duties involved – cleaning litter trays etc. But we reckon that's a small price to pay for getting to hang out with a family of cute cats five days a week.

The Close sisters will pay the right applicant £8 an hour for the role, which will start in May/June.

If you think you could be the cat handler they're looking for and are willing to pack up and move to Manchester for the job then you can apply here.
