A new exhibition from the London Film Museum promises to be a treat for vintage film and photography buffs.

The Magnum On Set exhibition hosts 146 of some of the most recognised film images in the world, transporting visitors right to the heart of the action on films such as Charlie Chaplin’s Limelight, Billy Wilder’s The Seven Year Itch and Nicholas Ray’s Rebel Without a Cause.

Since the agency’s inception in 1947, Magnum has long been associated with Hollywood - a connection which has allowed its photographers to have unprecedented access to some of the film industry’s biggest stars. One highlight of the exhibition – not least because it was shot by photographer Eve Arnold who died recently - includes a striking image of Marilyn Monroe, captured in the Nevada desert going over her lines for a difficult scene she was about to play with Clarke Gable in John Huston's The Misfits in 1960.

Original vintage cameras, film props, scripts and costumes will also be on show to give further brilliant insights into this golden age of Hollywood. Find out more about Magnum On Set and book tickets at londonfilmmuseum.com
