Christmas just got boozier thanks to these gin-filled Christmas crackers

After the 2016 we’ve all suffered through, it seems only fitting that the this year’s Christmas is going to be the booziest one yet. From wine advent calendars and gin baubles, to alcoholic jam and mince pies stuffed with Prosecco, there’s something out there for everyone to enjoy when 25 December rolls around.

However, we assumed that we’d be pulling bog-standard Christmas crackers with Great Aunt Mildred, and trying desperately to look excited over this year’s pair of teeny-weeny nail clippers.

Until now, that is; say hello to these epic gin-filled crackers.

Forget all the rubbish plastic toys and useless knick-knacks; these crackers are a thing of beauty and, as such, contain a real treasure in the form of a mini bottle of gin.

Even better? There’s still some surprise factor involved, because each cracker could be stuffed with one of three festive flavour infusions; think Christmas Pudding, Chocolate, and Orange, Cinnamon & Winter Spices Gin.

Speaking about their ingenious invention, the folk at Gin Tales http://www.notonthehighstreet.com/gintales/product/gin-christmas-crackers-x-6 explain that they wanted to make sure people had “the perfect tipples to finish off your Christmas dinner.”

They also recommend serving it up over “splashes of premium tonic and ice” and guzzling it alongside your dessert.

Depending on your festive décor, you can choose from two colour options; a shimmering bronze, or a chic monochrome.

Each pack contains six crackers – and, at £55 for the box, that works out at just over £9 for each 50ml bottle of gin.

Not bad for a very merry Christmas, eh?
