Twin panda cubs celebrate one-month birthday

Fans enjoy traditional Chinese celebration

Adorable twin Giant Panda cubs celebrated their one-month birthday last weekend (3-4 September) in China.

Fans of little Zhenzhen and Qiaoqiao flocked to the Chengdu Giant Panda and Research Base to take part in the traditional Chinese celebration.

Children wore special outfits and held panda masks as they sang to the babies to mark the event.

The research base’s director, Zhang Zhihe, explained it heralds a "brand-new" start for the pair, who are the fourth set of twins for 12-year-old mum Qi Zhen.

When the base was first set-up 24 years ago, there were only six old pandas but, thanks to the dedication of the staff, there are now 100 of them happily living – and breeding – there.

Happy one-month birthday from the (little bit in love) team at Stylist.
