What Disney films might have looked like if Tim Burton had been at the helm

Our appetite for all things Disney knows no bounds. Lucky then that there's a seemingly endless supply of illustrators willing to cater to our every cartoon need.

Following princes, princesses and villains reimagined by various artists, the latest incarnation of our beloved childhood characters sees posters for iconic films, such as The Lion King, Pinocchio and The Little Mermaid, redesigned in the style of Tim Burton films.

Taking cues from Corpse Bride and The Nightmare Before Christmas, the resulting images are all big eyes and melancholy, managing to successfully imitate the classic Burton trait of being simultaneously strangely beautiful and slightly sinister.

Artist Andrew Tarusov told hellogiggles.com: “I love how Burton’s style looks vintage, chic, and cute all at the same time.”
