“It was a dream come true”: elderly couple who raved in Fabric until 5am pen heartfelt letter of thanks

Remember that elderly couple who surprised revellers at Fabric when they rocked up and spent the night raving alongside them in the club?

Brilliantly, the pair are now back and lighting up the internet once again, after penning a heartfelt letter of thanks to the club promoter they met on the night.

The Polish couple, who are in their 80s, thanked promoter Jacob Hansen for his "warm and cordial welcome" to the club before describing the "great fun" they had dancing with "young Londoners" until 5am.

The letter, which Hansen copied to his Facebook page, tells how the couple had always wanted to visit Fabric nightclub.

"I've [had] a dream to visit the Fabric and listen to the music [for] eight years... My dream came true on 15th of May 2016," it states.

"There are no such words to describe the atmosphere and the great fun. These moments sunk in the memory for the rest of life."

Speaking to the Evening Standard, Hansen, who goes by the DJ name Jacob Husely, described how the "really sweet" couple had "so much humour between them".

"Really good banter, I wish I spoke Polish and could have joined in," he said. "They were really sweet, they were on the balcony with their hands together ballroom dancing."

The couple, who had bought tickets to the club's weekly 'WetYourSelf' night, enjoyed free tequila shots before requesting cups of tea to keep them hydrated while they raved throughout the night.

"We had a wonderful time dancing with young Londoners who also welcomed us very warmly, they took some photos with us dancing," the letter reads.

And incredibly, one of the young ravers - who the couple describe as a "fan" - even gifted the pair with a present to remember their evening by.

"One of the fans gave me a present, a cup with a caption ‘Handsome Hustler’," the letter said.

Having finally experienced the joys of Fabric for themselves the couple also chipped in with some music recommendations for Hansen to consider on his next club night.

"Personally, I’m not a big fan of techno but I am a fan of electronic dance music which Fabric used to play.

"I’d recommend to Mr Hansen to play this kind of music once a week or three times a month, it’s worth trying."
