Be still our beating hearts: a Ferrero Rocher dessert bar is coming to London

Just a few weeks ago, we let slip that there’s a brand-new Nutella pop-up at Harvey Nicholls. But, if that’s not quite enough chocolatey goodness for you, then don’t despair; a Ferrero Rocher dessert bar has also just hit the city.

And it’s just in time for Christmas, too.

From 1 December, Dolce by Ferrero Rocher is inviting you to “indulge your senses with an exclusive, multi-layered dining experience”.

The menu features five truly decadent mini desserts, each of which has been “inspired by Ferrero Rocher’s unique combination of tastes and textures”.

Think a cocoa-roasted hazelnut encased in praline mousse, a sphere of ganache rolled in crunchy wafer, a chocolate filled with luxe ganache, a tempered chocolate dome topped with roasted hazelnut pieces, and a soft spun sugar dusted with edible gold glitter in tribute to the gold wrapper.

It is, essentially, a tasting journey through all the delicious layers of a Ferrero Rocher.

“After the tasting plates the experience will finish with a delicious Ferrero Rocher to demonstrate how the elements of a whole hazelnut; rich, smooth chocolate; crisp, wafer shell; and gently roasted hazelnut pieces – all wrapped in gold – come together to deliver its unique multi-sensorial taste,” explain the folks at Dolce.

The entire menu has been designed by respected chef Paul Hannagen – owner, director and head chef at Cuisson, the luxury gastronomy company – so it’s sure to be exceptionally good.

But, as is always the way with pop-ups, Dolce by Ferrero Rocher won’t be there for long; in fact, it’s only open until 11 December.

While there are walk-in slots available from 1pm to 10pm daily, you can guarantee a space by booking a time slot online for £15 (which entitles you to a glass of Prosecco, too).

Ready our sleigh; we’re off to eat the ambassador’s chocolates…

Dolce by Ferrero Rocher will be at 21 Slingsby Place, Covent Garden, WC2E 9AB. It is open from December 1-11, between the hours of 1pm-11pm – although it will be closed on Monday 5 December.
