Snow White is getting the dark treatment once again in a sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman and this time Emily Blunt and Jessica Chastain are taking the leading roles.

While Snow White (played by Kristen Stewart in the first film) no longer features in the film named The Huntsman: Winter’s War, the two Hollywood stars join Charlize Theron who reprises her role as the terrifying Evil Queen Ravenna.

Emily Blunt plays her sister Freya, also known as The Snow Queen, who can freeze and army and lives in a wintry palace (does Frozen's Elsa ring a bell?).

Jessica Chastain is to be a great warrior named Sara alongside Chris Hemsworth's huntsman Eric.

According to the synopsis, long before Eric and Ravenna met Snow White, Ravenna’s sister Freya fled their kingdom after a heartbreaking betrayal, shutting herself away in an icy palace. But when Freya’s two most beloved huntsmen, Eric and Sara (Chastain), defy her commands and fall in love, she casts them out into the wilderness.

Years later, when Freya learns that Ravenna has been vanquished by Snow White, she seeks to claim her Magic Mirror, only to find that her sister can be resurrected.

Together, the two evil sisters amass an army that seems undefeatable, unless the two huntsmen can reunite and take on the forces of darkness.
