BFFs Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner impersonate Ned Stark on Carpool Karaoke

Carpool Karaoke: extremely popular. Game of Thrones: verging on the obsessional.

Thus, it was not going to be long before these titans of TV joined forces – and a clip promoting the appearance of Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner dropped on Sunday (20 August).

Carpool Karaoke, a hugely popular segment on The Late, Late Show with James Corden, has landed a standalone series on Apple Music called, er, Carpool Karaoke: The Series.

And it’s no ordinary trailer – the show’s opening has been given a GoT makeover.

Watch the clip below:

While Los Angeles is given the fantasy treatment (set to Ramin Djawadi’s score), Williams and Turner can be seen having a go at Miley Cyrus’ Wrecking Ball and Justin Bieber’s Sorry.

Better still, they even take the time to bust out some incredible impressions of their on-screen father Ned Stark (Sean Bean).

Check it out:

That Hakuna Matata cover was flawless, wasn’t it?

If the Starks aren’t your thing (and, seriously, who are you people?),  then don’t despair: Ariana Grande and Seth MacFarlane are said to feature in upcoming episodes, as well as Will Smith, Shakira and John Legend.

The GoT-themed first episode of the series will drop on Tuesday 22 August.
