Give a pound to Refuge this Christmas

em-st-campaign.jpg

If you haven’t already signed up to Emerald Street, our free daily email publication, here’s a very good reason to do so right now. This Christmas Emerald Street has teamed up with Refuge and will donate £1 to help the anti-domestic violence charity for every person who signs up in December at emeraldstreet.com. One in four women in the UK will experience an abusive relationship at some point in their lives; Refuge helps these women escape from violent situations and rebuild their lives.

“You don’t have to have been hit to be abused. I believe a home should be a safe place and that when someone says ‘I love you’ their actions should match,” says Anna Fielding, Emerald Street’s editor. “This shouldn’t be a big ask. But for many women this isn’t a given. Which is why we’ve chosen Refuge as our partner for this year’s charity campaign.”

If you’re already an Emerald Street subscriber you can still donate. Visit emeraldstreet.com/Refuge for more details.
