It’s all over; as of 2017, the Great British Bake Off will be moving from its home on BBC One to Channel 4.
And, even more horrifyingly, Mary Berry, Mel Giedroyc, and Sue Perkins will not be going with it. Instead, longtime judge Paul Hollywood will be joined by a team of brand-new faces - and life in the tent will never quite be the same again.
So it makes sense that the Beeb have decided to say goodbye to their beloved baking show with a suitably emotional new video.

In the montage, which was published on the BBC’s Facebook page shortly after the airing of The Great Christmas Bake Off, fans are treated to a series of memories from GBBO.
From Nadiya Hussain to Candice Brown, winners from across the show’s seven year stint pop up with smiles on their faces, flour on their hands, and a swelling sense of pride in their hearts.
Then, of course, there are all the other unforgettable moments; think THAT Baked Alaska incident, the countless soggy bottoms, and all things Selasi.

The video’s conclusion, which shows our beloved ‘Golden Berry’ tearfully admitting that she’s “loved every minute of” the show, was the breaking point for many fans.
“Actual tears,” wrote one. “Thank you from the bottom of my soggy bottom.”
Another added: “I was okay until Mary cried. Going to miss this programme so much. Good luck to Mel, Sue, and Mary.”
“Can’t believe it’s over,” revealed a third viewer. “That made me cry… goodbye and thank-you so much.”
However, for all those worrying about the next chapter, don’t; the Beeb has since hinted that the GBBO women are set to team up with show winner Hussain for a project of their own.
Director of Content Charlotte Moore said: “There will be more news on what Mary Berry, Mel and Sue and Nadiya are doing next.
“Watch this space – some exciting news to come.”
Hurry up and make that announcement, BBC - we need some good news to kick off 2017 with…
