Hilarious illustrations perfectly capture the joy of staying in

StubHub - Jessie Cave (3).jpg

Here at stylist.co.uk, we are staunch believers in the power of a good night in.

More often than not, you will find us spending our evenings curled up with a good book or film, chatting with friends or mastering how to make our favourite gin cocktails at home.

This is even more true on those typically British "summer" evenings when it's so cold we have to crank up the heating and take our favourite blankets back out of the cupboards.

And it seems that our readers are much the same: earlier this year we asked 1,177 of you which acronym best sums up your social life and nearly two-thirds of you opted for JOMO (the joy of missing out) over MOMO (the mystery of missing out) and FOJI (the fear of joining in).

Tapping into our new-found love of staying in, actress and artist Jessie Cave has sketched a hilariously tongue-in-cheek series of illustrations that show all the reasons we choose not to go out, based on new research from StubHub that found over a third of us would rather stay in bed than watch our favourite band perform live.

From opting to stay in so we can avoid seeing someone we don't like to forgetting to leave the house because we are entranced by social media, the brilliant new illustrations, shared exclusively with stylist.co.uk, are sure to be familiar to all of us...
