From deciding what to wear to nailing the million-pound question, preparing for a job interview is a complex and multi-layered process. But sometimes the problem that lets us down is something we might not even notice.

A new infographic based on a survey of thousands of hiring managers reveals the most common non-verbal mistakes job seekers make during an interview.

The most frequent oversight is eye contact, with 67 percent failing meet the gaze of their interviewer, followed by having little knowledge of the company, not smiling and having bad posture.

The diagram also highlights 10 recurrent interview mistakes from concentrating too much on what you want to over-explaining why you lost your last job.

The research on over 2,000 hiring managers was conducted by American University database Cloud Atlas, who found out that it only takes 90 seconds for a recruiter to decide if they will hire a candidate.

So, use the below as a checklist and walk into your interview knowing you have it all under control.
