Krispy Kreme is launching a chocolate coffee spread

There’s no denying that the UK is a country decidedly obsessed with coffee.

If we’ve not been enchanted by a stream of deluxe dream bean orders – here’s looking at you flat white, goth latte and sweet cone coffee – we’ve been sat at our desks pondering where we’re getting our next fix.

Which is why, when Krispy Kreme unleashed their latest bean-addled invention upon coffee-lovers everywhere, our ears pricked up.

Say hello to coffee-hazelnut spread, everyone:

Move over, cups. From now on I lick my coffee off a spoon! --- Ok not now, but whenever this releases at Walmart later this year. #sse17

That’s right: the doughnut company are set to release their own spread – a coffee and hazelnut blend, to be precise.

Which means that you can now have your coffee on top of your toast. Win.

When Instagrammer of rare culinary treats Junk Banter shared a snap of the doughnut company’s latest product, the world’s foodies were overjoyed with the fusion of their favourite fixes in one blessed jar.

“Move over, cups. From now on I lick my coffee off a spoon,” reads the caption.

The caramel macchiato flavour foodstuff is said to taste just like a frappuccino in a jar – and is apparently so bloomin’ delicious that it’s been considered a worthy rival to Nutella.

Big talk, as we’re sure you’ll agree – but we have a feeling this spread may just have what it takes to go the distance.

At the moment, this Krispy Kreme delicacy has yet to hit UK shelves, although JunkBanter writes that it will be released at Wal-Mart sometime later this year.

Until that blessed day, we’ll just have to keep chugging coffee alongside our Nutella bagels like absolute chumps.
