Lena Dunham shares pictures from personal photo shoot

When Lena Dunham posted a picture of the cover of her upcoming book Not That Kind of Girl: A Young Woman Tells You What She's "Learned" on Instagram two weeks ago, she caused a flurry of excitement across the internet.

Yesterday, the Girls star was working on her author photoshoot for the new book - "Because serious authors need serious photos" as she put it - and judging by her Instagram pictures, the photographs will be brilliant.

Dunham worked high-wasted leopard-print underwear and a pink crop top. She may even have kick-started a new trend as her followers took to Instagram to ask where she bought her underwear from.

As if she wasn't concurring enough jobs, it was announced last night that Dunham will host Saturday Night Live for the first time as the show makes a return to American screens this weekend.

The 27-year-old has also recently expressed her dream of making a special appearance on Kerry Washington's American political thriller Scandal. "Basically, my life's great passion is the idea of being a guest star on Scandal," Dunham said. "I want to be like, a senator who did something wrong," she said in an interview with Grantland.
