Maria Corry, a mother of two from Florida, has used an image of a lingerie-clad Victoria’s Secret model to illustrate the absurdity of objections to photographs of her breastfeeding.

After sharing a snap of herself breastfeeding her baby in a park, initially intended to be a call to arms for fellow mothers struggling with nursing, Corry says her post was reported to Facebook for ‘containing nudity’.

Corry has also vowed to keep sharing images on her Facebook page, in a bid to help normalise breastfeeding and break down barriers for new mums everywhere.

Urging other women to nurse in public and share their photographs too, Corry adds: “I'm done with this stupid nonsense.

“I can't believe how much backlash my photo got, but more importantly I got tons of support.”
