New Game of Thrones trailer sees Starks out for revenge and Khaleesi ready for battle

Game of Thrones fans have been awaiting season 4 with growing impatience, following an explosive end to season 3.

And a newly aired trailer, the third to be released, has given viewers a glimpse at the fallout following the Red Wedding.

The 92-second clip opens with Sansa Stark discussing the brutal murder of her mother and brother with husband Tyrion Lanister.

The trailer also introduces new character, Oberyn Martell, a member of House Martell who we see walking along with Cersei.

And Stylist favourite, Daenerys Targaryen, is also seen in the trailer and is clearly growing ever more confident in her role as the leader of an army preparing to go into battle.

Game of Thrones season 4 returns to TV screens on April 6 in the US.
