A new cereal promises to bring out the tiger in you; and we're not talking Kellogg's Frosted Flakes.

"Sexcereal" - a product title that reflects alarming levels of ingenuity - wants to bring a little va va voom to your breakfast table with its "gender-based cereal formulated by a cadre of sexy scientists in North America."

Never mind if you can barely open your eyes come that 7am alarm call; it's apparently never too early to tuck into a bowl of "carefully formulated blends for Him and Her."

For Him, there's a tasty selection of rolled oats, wheat germ, coconut sugar chia seeds, black sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds and more. Her gets to feast on cacao beans, ginger ground, maca powder - and the obligatory rolled oats.

Various studies have linked these ingredients and more to an increased sex drive in men and women, as you can see in our round-up of the world's most erotic food.

Peter Ehrlich, the brains behind the brand, says, "Sexcereal had to be real, honest, nutritious and taste great. Intimacy and love is a beautiful thing. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise."

However he recommends consuming the cereal "only in moderation or you’ll be ramping up the romance before lunch."

Sound fun? Order your own box of Sexcereal from Firebox for £9.99.
