Christmas and indulgence go hand in hand. What with several huge meals to cook, it's inevitable that there will be a few things left over when everybody's finished eating.
But leftovers are one of the delights of the season - being able to sneak down after a big meal and pick at food from the fridge in the middle of the night is part of the indulgence of Christmas.
