Adventurous foodie creates deep fried tequila shots, gooey doritos cheese bites and mac'n'cheese burritos

Blogger Amy Erickson is looking to shake up a dinner party near you by offering the wackiest, most creative and indulgent recipes.

Her blog Oh, Bite It! is packed with weird and wonderful recipes for party snacks, dinners and desserts.

With a goal to simply bring fun food back to the kitchen, Erickson says, "I am not a trained Chef, and I don’t take food too seriously..I just find it fun to keep things interesting in the kitchen!"

She makes every creation accessible by including step-by-step guides on how to make them. "If there’s a recipe shortcut, I’m never above taking it!" writes Erickson. "I also believe that ingredients don’t have to be expensive, if your imagination is priceless!"

While some ingredients are American, these recipes are tempting enough to find British alternatives.

Take a look at three of Erickson's best creations:

Deep Fried Tequila Shots

This recipe combines dreaded tequila shots with the comfort of deep fried food. "I really don’t know how to describe theses one of a kind treats, other than maybe.. try to envision a sweet and subtle tequila flavor all suspended inside a soaked until moist, melt in your mouth bite of sweet cake that tastes like funnel cake," wrote the blogger

To make them, Erickson baked an angel food cake, cut it up into small cubes, soaking the cubes in tequila and then deep fried them. For presentation, she dipped shot glasses into frosting and rolled it in lime zest. The recipe can be adapted using any drink you like.

Doritos Fried Queso

This gooey treat is made of crushed doritos, cheese and flour and water for batter.

"I saw some Doritos looking lonely, and I had some left over cheese..so I did what anyone would do~ I fried the heck out of both of them! Resulting in a one of a kind, crazy-good, pop in your mouth, movie/game watching snack," wrote Erickson.

Mac and Cheese Burritos

These toasted burritos are stuffed with warm mac and cheese with added roasted green chilli.

Erickson gave them a positive review: "They’re actually one of the BEST tasting, most unique Burritos I’ve ever had!"
