From creamy pesto to gooey brownies, nourishing and delicious avocado recipes that make the most of this buttery fruit

Oh avocado, how do we love thee? Let us count the ways.

This buttery green fruit is bursting with nutrients, including omega 3 fatty acids for lower cholesterol and improved heart health, potassium to fight against fatigue and hypertension and magnesium to maintain bone and muscle function.  Avocado's high levels of monounsaturated fats makes it a great source of nourishment for hair and skincare

To cut a long story short, it's a great natural health elixir.

But the humble, pear-shaped warrior of the fruit bowl is also a versatile character. With a rich and creamy flavour, it sits well with a wide range of sweet and savoury dishes and can be used as a healthy substitute for the likes of sugar or pasta sauce to add moisture and thickness to a dish.

Come take a look at some of our favourite and most creative avocado recipes, from breadcrumb-coated avocado fries to lime and avocado cheesecake.
