Colourful food has been making waves this year, with unicorn grilled cheese sandwiches, multicoloured toast toppings and the rainbow bagel (in both original and goth versions) lighting up the internet.

Thus, Christmas rainbow bagels came into being to bring everyone an extra (bagel-shaped) dollop of festive joy this year.

Several companies are offering red, white and green bagels, such as New York’s The Bagel Store – already famous for its rainbow breads – which first sold the festive treat last Christmas and has brought it back for 2016:

We don’t know if we’d swap our classic bacon sarnie and Buck’s Fizz combo for a rainbow bagel come Christmas morning, but they’re definitely pretty to look at.
