Chocaholics' dream soak: Bathroom suite made from pure chocolate

Yes, this is for real.

You're looking at an entirely edible, full-size chocolate bathroom suite (including bidet) that is available to purchase - if you have a spare £80,000 and a serious chocolate habit.

The delicious - if impractical - creation is the result of a collaboration between Bathrooms.com and London and Brighton chocolatiers Choccywoccydoodah to draw attention to the common mispelling of 'suite'.

The Maderno Bathroom Sweet "will add real flavour to your bathroom," say Bathrooms.com

Apparently more than a million Britons mistakenly type "bathroom sweets" into Google when they're on the search for new bathroom furniture and the gaffe has inspired this labour-intensive, if visually impressive publicity stunt.

Choccywoccydoodah is renowned for its outlandish, Willy Wonka-esque sweet creations and when approached by Bathrooms.com, couldn't resist possibly its most eccentric request to date.

The full-size bathroom suite is made from 50 kilograms of milk and dark Belgian chocolate and contains a staggering 9.4 million calories - the equivalent of 12 years' worth for women and 10 years' worth for men.

Anyone who is tempted to indulge in the furniture should be aware that the cocoa-based bathroom has a two to three-month lead time and a six-month shelf life - and in case you were in any doubt, it also shouldn't be used as a bathroom in the traditional sense.

"It will melt if it comes in contact with direct sunlight, radiator heat, or hot liquids - so it’s not ideal for running that relaxing bath," Bathrooms.com CEO Ian Monk said.
