Love gin, cake and Christmas? Do we have a bus tour for you...

A Christmas treat for all gin lovers (and we know you number many).

Remember the gin bus in summer we all got so excited about? That, sadly, came to an end. But don’t despair just yet people, there’s a new gin bus in town.

And this time there’s cake.

Hayman’s Gin and Covent Garden-based B Bakery are offering gin afternoon tea bus tours of London in November and December.

The tour includes two gin cocktails

Guests will board a vintage Routemaster bus for a festive jolly around some of the capital’s landmarks while enjoying a spread created by B Bakery’s executive chef Thibault Denis, including such delights as smoked salmon blini with a spritz of gin, dessert involving Hayman’s Sloe Gin-infused cherries, and a lemon drizzle cake infused with whisky. Kidding. Gin.

What better way to wind down after a day’s hectic shopping than by sipping a couple of complimentary gin cocktails and admiring London’s impressive Christmas lights during a leisurely drive, eh?

Cake, gin, Christmas lights. What else does one need?

The Gin Lovers’ Afternoon Tea Tour departs from Victoria Coach Station at 5.30pm on 19 and 26 November and 3 December, and tickets cost from £45 to £57.50 per person (depending where you want to sit on the bus).

There are only 30 seats on each tour (because they need to fit all that cake and gin in, obviously) and tickets can be bought here.

If you miss out, don't worry: you can always console yourself with a can of premixed G&T and a Greggs cheese and onion on the 47 home.
