Gin fans, get ready: the UK's first ever gin cruise is coming

Hot on the heels of the gin hotel, the gin bus and the truly crowd pleasing gin cheesecake, we bring you the next great gin-venture: the gin cruise.

Setting sail from next month, the gin cruise comes in not one but two forms, meaning you can have your fill of mother’s ruin on either a “Conker Gin Dorset Cruise” or an “Artisan Gin Cruise” (or even better, why not try both...? For comparison purposes, of course).

Both cruises, which take place aboard Dorset Cruise’s beautiful 1938 vintage motor yacht, Dorset Queen (below), will offer gin tasting, gin cocktails and the opportunity to go home with your very own engraved bottle of gin.

The Conker Gin Cruise takes place on Poole Harbour and is the perfect choice for gin buffs in the making. Over the course of four hours you will learn about gin production and the history of Conker Spirit, Dorset’s first ever gin distillery, while also enjoying a selection of cocktails.

These cruises take place on 11 and 25 April between 6.30pm and 10.30pm and include a three course dinner at a prestigious restaurant. They cost £125.

In comparison, the Artisan Gin Cruise is perfect for the gin-curious, with guests able to buy either a seat at a table supplied with a bottle of gin and handmade cocktails, or simply a ticket to join in the on-board fun.

This cruise takes place 7 April from 7pm to 10pm and costs either £300 for a VIP table (seats six) or £35 for a single ticket.

Head to the website here to book and keep your eye open for future dates – our reliable source informs us there will be many more gin cruises in future…
