Londoners, get ready for the G&T ice-cream bar of your dreams

gin and tonic ice cream parlour.jpg

The days are getting longer, the sun is shining brighter than ever (sometimes) and we’re craving ice cream pretty much non-stop. Also, gin. Ice-cold gin, with a dash of bitter tonic water and a sharp twist of lemon, is exactly what we need on a balmy summer evening.

So you can understand why we’re so very, very excited to learn that there’s a G&T ice-cream parlour heading to London this summer.

Yes, the gin gods have bestowed upon us a great boozy boon.

In just a few short weeks, a G&T ice-cream parlour will be popping up in the courtyard of The Hoxton hotel in London. And, as it’s the brainchild of gin brand Gin Mare and ice-cream experts Ruby Violet, this alcoholic ice cream is going to be far more than just another frozen treat.

You’ll be able to opt between a scoop of gin-infused ice cream or sorbet (we can taste all of those heady botanicals now), before umm-ing and aah-ing your way through the toppings selection.

Think crystallised rosemary, dried olives, botanical brittle, savoury wafer and gin-soaked orange peel, to name a few.

In short, it’s the ideal way to create an utterly unique G&T-infused concoction.

If you needed an extra reason to attend, it’s worth remembering that our favourite juniper juice is packed full of health benefits – so we’ll go ahead and say you’ll even be doing your mood and your body a favour by cooling off with one of these boozy beauties.

However, as is so often the case with good things, the magic won’t last for long: the G&T ice-cream parlour will only be open from 9 to 11 June.

Best get your skates on, eh? We’ll see you there…

The G&T ice cream parlour will open 9-11 June at the Hoxton Hotel, 81 Great Eastern St, EC2A 3HU. You do not need tickets to attend – just show up and join the queue.
