All aboard! There's a gin train coming to town

The gin train is rolling into London – and we choo-choo-choose to clamber aboard as soon as humanly possible.

For just one week this summer, The Laverstoke Express promises plenty of booze, culinary delight and mother’s ruin-fuelled revelry, as well as an incredible ‘journey’ unlike any other.

Settle in for a night of gin-fueled revelry

That’s right: Bombay Sapphire has partnered with Michelin starred chef Tom Sellers to offer you a ‘multisensory dining experience’ that blends fine dining with delicious gin cocktails as they transport you across the globe.

Well, sort of, anyway. Your wanderlust will be sated with a 10-stop round-the-world ‘journey’, as this train simulator whisks you off on a whirlwind tour of the homes of the botanicals that give the gin its unique flavour.

Think Java, Morocco, Ghana, Tuscany and more.

Sellers, who rose to fame at the age of 26 with his first venture, Restaurant Story (which gained its first Michelin star just five months after opening), promises to tickle your taste buds with a botanical menu themed around our favourite beverage.

“I’m so excited to work with Bombay Sapphire’s The Grand Journey,” he said, “as creatively I can draw upon the illustrious history of gin – which incidentally, is my favourite drink – and also create dishes that focus on the key botanical ingredients that make up Bombay Sapphire’s unique flavour profile.

Tempt your taste buds with a delicious gin cocktail

If a night of hedonism among fellow gin lovers isn’t enough to tempt you, don’t forget that gin is good for you, so really, you’d be doing yourself a favour.

But if you fancy bagging yourself a ticket, you’d better act quickly as the train is in London for one week only from 17 to 23 July.

Tickets are £30 each and are on sale from Thursday 22nd June here.
