Haagen-Dazs has launched a boozy ice-cream collection

boozy.jpg

We’ve had a summer filled with alcoholic iced treats.

First, gin and mojito lollies made an entrance and changed the universe as we know it, and then Pimms launched a popsicle which led to there being more sozzled picnickers per square metre than ever before (probably).

Though we should heed the warning that we need to take these alcoholic treats a little bit more seriously, there’s something irresistible about having some frozen booze-infused delights available for our consumption.

And now there’s a new range in town.

Booze, sweet booze

We have been stunned into greedy silence by Haagen-Dazs’ new collection of boozy ice creams with flavours – part of the brand’s spirits collection – that wouldn’t sound out of place on a catwalk.

Amping up dairy glory, the five new tastes showcase sweet and spirit pairings; customers can take their pick from Rum Vanilla Caramel Blondie, Whiskey Chocolate Truffle, Irish Cream Coffee & Biscotti, Vodka Key Lime Pie and Rum Ginger Cookie. Nice.

But before you get too excited, there is a catch.

It appears that our Canadian cousins are getting first dibs when it comes to this new collection.

We’re sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the ice creams in question will only be available in Canadian Walmarts.

They might be flying off the shelves in the nation of Trudeau, but where does that leave us?

Although it’s easy to get resentful in these high tides of boozy ice deprivation, perhaps it could be a blessing in disguise.

For after all, why would the noggins at Haagen-Dazs try to launch so many alcoholic ice creams without a gin flavour?

In the meantime, feel free to pour spirits (responsibly) into the flavours currently available. But remember: pictures or it didn’t happen.

We have contacted Haagen-Dazs for comment and will update this article as soon as we have news.
