Oh my. Hot Cross Bun Gin is here to save Easter weekend

Love gin? And hot cross buns? Put those two together, and what you do get? Well if you’re asking the distillers at Gin Tales, the answer is a bottle of finely infused Hot Cross Bun Gin.

Yes, that’s right, two of your favourite Easter weekend essentials blended together in one delicious bottle.

It may not have been an obvious combination, but it’s genius nevertheless.

Currently stocked at notonthehighstreet.com, the makers have branded the bottle ‘an adult twist on an Easter favourite’, and we quite agree that this might even trump chocolate eggs.

Instead of sugar, which could have tipped things into the realm of overly sweet liquors, the gin has been infused with fresh citrus fruits, sultanas, cinnamon and nutmeg for the hot cross bun taste.

“We only use fresh, natural ingredients - no added chemicals, sugar or other weird stuff that doesn't belong in your drink,” say the creators, who also personalise each bottle tag making it an excellent gift for either yourself or a fellow gin-lover.

Due to the real fruit it’s suggested you enjoy the tipple within three months of first opening, and may also need to give it a shake before pouring to liven up the ingredients.
