Are you ready for the deep fried Creme Egg burger?

It’s a big day in the dessert world apparently.

Following on from the launch of the Macaron Doughnut, it’s time to get our minds (and arteries) around the concept of the Deep Fried Creme Egg Burger.

The gigantum hybrid is not an actual burger, but a – still just as indulgent – deep-fried sweet dessert option as part of an afternoon tea.

Combining London’s never-ending love of burgers with the frenzy for the chocolate treats created with the launch of Soho’s infamous Creme Egg café, the Deep Fried Creme Egg burgers are part of the K West Hotel’s restaurant’s afternoon tea offering in its restaurant, Studio Kitchen.

Although they look worryingly similar to an actual beef burger vegetarians can rest at ease as a deep-fried helping of melted Creme Egg makes up the ‘burger’ part, topped with a brioche bun, dipped in white chocolate with raspberry sprinklings, plus mascarpone cream and strawberry jam.

This is actually the second year the hotel has offered the Creme Egg burgers, but this year they have upped the ante by deep frying the burger part.

In a dinky slider size, you can get two of the burgers for just £5.50, and they will be available from the 20 March.

Expect a lot of Instagram action...
