Rosé wine (aka the best wine) is getting its own boozy summer festival

Rosé wine is one of our absolute favourite summer drinks: served ice-cold, it packs a fruity, refreshing punch – and it doesn’t just taste good, oh no.Should you be social-media savvy, you’ll know that its beautiful millennial pink adds the perfect pop of colour to any Instagram shot too.

Now, at last, the blush wine is getting a festival of its very own.

And, yup, it’s taking place in our very own London town.

Aptly named the Rosé Festival, the three-day extravaganza will be taking over the beautifully landscaped gardens of the Geffrye Museum in Shoreditch in July.

The likes of Laurent Perrier, Domaine Ott, Whispering Angel, Martini, Sassy and Belaire will be there to lay on the booze in a very big way, serving up enough rosé and champagne to satisfy even the staunchest of wine aficionados.

Some of “the best British food vendors” will be rolling up in their vans to dish out some seriously scrummy street eats – which means that you can line your stomach between brimming glasses of the pink stuff.

And that’s not all.

To ensure that you don’t get bored on your wine-sampling adventure (because, yes, this is apparently a genuine fear), the festival organisers are also lining up some incredibly la-di-da entertainment, too.

Think jazz bands, opera singers and live Shakespearean recitals (we love mixing our booze with the Bard) – as well as some epic DJ sets.

If you’re the only rosé enthusiast in your friendship group (who are you hanging out with?), don’t despair: there’s also plenty of prosecco, cider, craft beer, vermouth and champagne on offer.

Sounds like the perfect midsummer’s weekend, eh?

Tickets for the event – which runs Friday 21 to Sunday 23 July – cost just £15 and are available here.

However we recommend you buy yours quick-sharp, as we have a feeling this event is going to sell out incredibly quickly.
