From refreshing stale bread to peeling fruit, ingenious microwave hacks to save you time in the kitchen

hero.jpg

Microwaves are handy for reheating food and popping popcorn on a movie night, right?

Well, turns out your microwave can do a whole lot more according to a new infographic which illustrates all the hacks the little oven can do to lessen your time in the kitchen.

Peeling garlic, refreshing stale bread, making onions tear-free and removing stamps from envelopes, are just a few of the 15 tips and tricks the visual chart illustrates, specifying the microwave power and time required for each.

You’ll also find information on quick and easy ways to clean your microwave, check if a dish is safe for microwave-use and a list of the foods that should never be microwaved.

The infographic is by partselect.com a consumer electric parts company which provides YouTube tutorials to help the average Joe fix common appliances at home.

Print, cut out and pin the handy chart to your fridge. We'll never look at our microwave in quite the same way again.
