The foodie universe has been full of records-breaking feats recently, from the world's largest cupcake to the Zillion Dollar Lobster Frittata.
Now the humble hotdog is getting on the act, with the launch of the "California Capitol City Dawg."
This splendid creation comes complete with 18 inch of beef frank, moose cheese flown in from Sweden, white truffle butter, whole grain mustard from France and New Hampshire bacon on a focaccia roll.
Needless to say, all this goodness transports this particular dawg way beyond the price of your average street snack.
It went on sale yesterday (31 May) in Sacramento, California, for a massive $145.49 (around £95) - with Guinness World Records adjudicators present to make a note of the landmark.
