When we visit a hotel we're normally on the lookout for luxurious touches like free-standing baths, Egyptian cotton sheets and well-stocked mini bars, but we never imagined a boudoir quite like this one...

The Vieux Panier boutique hotel in Marseille commissions artists and designers to decorate each of their five bedrooms once a year. The juxaposition of the historic 17th century former grocer's with bold contemporary interior design is a striking one and definitely not for the faint-hearted.

This year, they invited graffiti artist Tilt to create the 'Panic Room', a bedroom that has been carefully graffitied down exactly one side. That includes the bedsheets, the ceiling and even the dressing table mirror. The other half of the space has been kept pure white, emphasising the contrast even further.n Design and photographer Big Addict, otherwise known as Benjamin Roudet, documented the room in these incredible images on the Big Addict site.

We're more used to seeing graffiti decorating (or defacing, depending on your view) surfaces outdoors, and using it as an interior design motif is an original approach. What do you make of this hotel room's unique decor - do you find it stimulating and original, or would it give you a migraine?
