Sliced chocolate is here: meet Japan's greatest ever invention

crepes.png

When it comes to chocolate, we thought we had seen it all. From the chocolate stuffed crust pizza to the chocolate chip cookie grilled cheese sandwich and even the chocolate wine, we were content with the world's cocoa-based offerings.

That is, until we heard about Japan's latest and greatest foodie innovation.

Behold, sliced chocolate.

Created by a fun-sounding company called Bourbon, the two-milimetre thick slices of chocolate look just like sliced cheese or ham but can be used to spice up a whole variety of desserts (and, yes, even sandwiches).

You can add sliced chocolates to crepes...

...And you can create the most delicious sandwiches in town.

While sliced chocolate is sadly not readily available in the UK, you can bulk buy 12 packs of five slices online for approximately £18.
