Make your day go with a bang: our pick of the very best Christmas crackers out there

Christmas crackers have certainly gone up a few notches since we were young, when red plastic toys and yo-yos were the norm (along with the obligatory paper hat, of course).

Nowadays, you can expect anything from chocolate-filled treats to miniature bottles of booze and even full-on pampering kits to explode out of a cracker over lunch.

So, if you're done with miniature nail clippers and throwaway toys and are hoping to get more bang for your buck this Christmas, look no further.

We’ve compiled a list of the best crackers on offer this year.
