Fancy putting your money in gold? A luxury vibrator could be yours in time for Christmas.

However, pleasure comes at a price - a hefty $15,000 ( £9,330) for this 24-karat gold sex toy.

Shelling out £9.3K on this stylish sex-aid may tempt you to keep it on display. You probably shouldn't.

The "Inez Gold Vibratoris", by US firm Lelo, "belongs in your jewellery box or even your safe," according to online sellers Mysecretluxury.com.

Described as "a high quality sex toy for women like no other", it's almost silent, boasts five pre-programmed vibration modes and doesn't need batteries as it is rechargeable for "up to 4 hours of enjoyment."

And if parting with the best part of £10,000 for a vibrator seems excessive, the firm throws in sweeteners that include a luxurious wooden gift box, satin pouch and the ever-important charger and user manual.

Diamonds were a girl's best friend?: The Gold Vibratoris is "Lust Objectified" according to makers Lelo

And if you're pondering how you clean this precious bedroom accessory, Lelo even provides a handy step-by-step video guide on the company's website...

If you had to spend £10K on expensive erotica or a designer handbag, which would you go for? Let us know on Twitter or in the comments section below...
